So, we are building a network of zero-emission energy stations where hydrogen refueling and electric charging are combined.

Fountain Fuel is making progress

Our first energy station in Amersfoort is open for the public since June 2023. New stations in Rotterdam and Nijmegen will follow soon. By 2025, we will be operating 5 stations.

We are planning to have 30 stations by 2030. So, we are going from 3 to 5 to 30 Fountain Fuels.

If you have a hydrogen car (FCEV), you are a pioneer.
That’s why we help you with information about hydrogen vehicles, costs, and subsidies.

Passenger cars

At our station, you can refuel five kilograms of hydrogen in less than five minutes. That will give you a driving range of 500-600 km with the current generation of hydrogen cars. At our Fountain Fuels, we work closely with regional car dealerships. They can provide you with information about specifications, prices, and delivery times.

Commercial vehicles

City centers in The Netherlands are getting zero-emission zones. Emissions of CO2 or nitrogen are increasingly becoming a decisive factor in tenders. Zero-emission commercial vehicles are currently still expensive and difficult to obtain. Due to the overloaded electricity grid, it sometimes takes years to realize a fast charger on your property. That’s where driving on hydrogen comes in handy.

That primarily refers to fossil fuels themselves. But we also have to import rare metals that we need for batteries and other technologies that are crucial for the energy transition. Starting from 2025, Dutch city centers will be 'locked' for vehicles with combustion engines.

Furthermore, in the Netherlands we are struggling with a huge nitrogen problem. That’s why all vehicles will be battery-electric or hydrogen-electric in the future. This will ensure cleaner air. Both technologies are developing side by side, like gasoline and diesel in the previous century.
