Because of acute grid congestion, geopolitical turmoil and the climate change debate, hydrogen in mobility is inevitable.
Battery-electric still has an edge, but manufacturers are entering the market with more and more hydrogen applications.
Range, charging capacity, short refueling times and limited capacity of the e-charging infrastructure are decisive in choosing hydrogen in mobility.

Hydrogen price development

Hydrogen costs at Fountain Fuel €18.95 incl. VAT (€15.66 excl. VAT) per kilo. We expect prices to drop over time. The supply of sustainable hydrogen is currently scarce and must be brought in from long distances. Producers of sustainable hydrogen are making strides, and the European Union is working hard on regulations and subsidy policies to make sustainable hydrogen feasible, affordable and scalable.

Fast and easy refueling

Hydrogen fueling is becoming important for many businesses.
Therefore, for specific pricing arrangements and ease of use, we offer our fuel card.
The fuel card works at all Fountain Fuels, but soon will also work at several other hydrogen fueling stations.

How it works.

1. Place your vehicle at the tank column

2. Insert your debit or fuel card at the payment kiosk; contactless payment is also possible

3. Follow the instructions on the payment kiosk and select the correct pump number

4. Connect the nozzle (fill gun) to your hydrogen vehicle

5. Press the green button

Our station checks the safety and fill level of your car.
This may take 15 seconds.
Then you will see on the dispenser that refueling starts and you will hear hydrogen running through the line.
Occasionally the refueling process seems to stop for a moment, this is normal and has to do with building up pressure.

6. When your car is full, disconnect the nozzle

7. Then you can print the receipt at the payment kiosk

Electricity networks are becoming overloaded due to increasing use of electricity by cars, homes and industry.
It takes a lot of time and money to make electricity networks suitable for this increasing demand.
For transportation and storage of large amounts of energy, hydrogen is therefore a very (cost) efficient solution.

Another advantage is the ability to store energy for a long time and use it later, which is useful for balancing supply and demand in renewable energy.

A hydrogen fuel cell generates electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen in an electromechanical process.
Hydrogen reacts with oxygen in the cell, leading to the production of electricity, water and heat.
This makes it an efficient way to produce electricity without harmful emissions.
